3D-printed TPU elastomer · Three sizes

VIBRON

The easiest upgrade that changes what you hear.

Not a rubber pad with a metal cap. The whole footer is the damping material — 32 elastic beams in a printed lattice, flexible sideways, rigid under load.

Which size do I need?

01 / The problem

Your speakers are fighting the furniture.

Every cabinet, shelf and floor your gear touches sends energy back into it. You do not hear a rattle — you hear less.

What it actually costs

Blur, not noise.

Resonance smears transients and thickens bass. Nothing sounds broken — the music simply sits further away than it should.

Why you have not fixed it

Isolation is the home of snake oil.

Cones, pucks, magnets, four-figure platforms. Being sceptical about accessories is the correct instinct, and it is why most people skip this entirely.

The usual answer

A rack that costs more than the amp.

Multi-stage isolation racks work, and they are furniture-sized and priced to match. Most rooms cannot take one and most budgets should not — so the component keeps standing on whatever it came with.

Why we build these

We were in that position too.

Countless printed prototypes, one geometry that worked. Then two reviewers put it under their own reference systems — both of which already stood on footers costing several times more.

02 / Independent reviews

Two reviewers who already own far pricier footers.

6moons · Srajan Ebaen

“Beneath the Qualio IQ speakers Greg’s Vibron L was as effective as my residents. The swap didn’t shift my carefully curated balance one bit.”

“Only my bank balance would, by quite a few bob, were we playing finder’s keepers.”

“The geometric concept and its practical behaviour are one clever bit of guerilla engineering by 3D printer and a smart programmer’s chops.”

“Vibrons set the bar unreasonably high. The delta of changes with and without these footers was enormous.”

“Their price-to-performance ratio might be the most outrageous thing about them.”

“Profoundly effective. Ideal candidates for newcomers to audio tweaks.”

03 / The idea

Most isolators are a hard part with a soft bit in it.

Vibron inverts that. Apart from one stainless thread, the entire footer is the damping material.

The industry standard is a big, machined steel or aluminium housing — bulky, heavy, impressive to hold. More often than not it is eye candy. The actual heart of the isolator is a tiny piece of rubber or elastomer somewhere inside it.

That leaves the energy a few millimetres in which to be absorbed. Everything around it is rigid metal, so the rest of the part simply passes the vibration on.

Vibron is printed almost entirely from industrial TPU elastomer. The whole body works as one large elastic energy-absorbing element, which dramatically lengthens the effective damping path compared with a conventional design.

The only rigid component is an embedded threaded stainless steel insert — there so the footer can be bolted to your speaker instead of merely sitting under it.

04 / Inside the footer

Soft sideways. Rigid underneath.

Those two demands normally conflict. Solving them is the whole point of the geometry — and it is why this had to be printed rather than moulded.

32 elastic mini-beams

Compliance where it helps, stiffness where it must

Each footer contains 32 independent beams. They are highly flexible horizontally — the axis vibration travels along — while staying rigid vertically, so a 40 kg floorstander does not sink into them or wobble.

Three-dimensional lattice

Energy spread across the whole body

In cross-section the beams connect at only a few carefully chosen points. That turns the footer into an optimised elastic lattice which dissipates mechanical energy throughout the structure instead of at a single interface.

An internal hexagonal shaft runs up the centre as the retainer for the threaded insert — that is what lets one footer take M6, M8, M10 or 1/4″ without a different part for each.

05 / Which size

Weigh the component. That is the whole decision.

Each set carries four footers, so divide nothing — the ranges below are for the complete item standing on all four.

06 / What changes

What you actually notice, in order.

Vibration travels into the footer, through the lattice, and leaves as heat. Nothing is added to the signal — something is removed from it.

01

Bass tightens first

Lifting a cabinet off a reactive surface stops it exciting the floor and shelf. Bass stays defined instead of bloated — the change most people hear inside a minute.

02

Images stop drifting

With the vibration boundary clean, voices and instruments hold a fixed place between the speakers rather than smearing across them.

03

Glare goes, detail arrives

Midrange and treble lose a hardness you had stopped noticing. Listeners describe it as more open and free-flowing — the same records, less effort.

04

Start with one component

You do not need to treat everything at once. Do the speakers, listen for a week, then decide whether the source is next. It compounds.

07 / In use

Anything that either makes vibration or dislikes it.

Speakers and subwoofers generate it. Turntables, DACs and valve gear suffer from it. Both cases want the same boundary — here is what that looks like in real systems.

Enleum AMP-23R — four Vibron M under a reference amplifier

Gryphon Diablo 333 — a heavy integrated amplifier on Vibron XL

T+A DAC 200 — Vibron XL under a source component

Laiv Harmony R2R DAC, Laiv Harmony preamp and two GaNM monoblocks — every box on its own set of Vibron L

Under a Supernova loudspeaker cabinet — Vibron carrying the full weight of a 56 kg floorstander

Thread detail — every size takes a removable insert

Sources & electronics

DACs and streamers

Turntables and CD players

Preamplifiers

Integrated and power amplifiers

These do not make vibration — they are victims of it. A source sitting on a shelf that a speaker is exciting is reading a signal through a shaking chassis.

Transducers

Bookshelf speakers on stands

Floorstanding speakers

Subwoofers

Studio monitors on a desk

These are the source of the problem. Stop a cabinet driving the floor and you stop the room adding its own bass to yours.

Every size takes a removable thread, so a speaker with M6, M8 or M10 spike sockets bolts straight on. Everything else simply stands on them. Vibron footers ship as standard with every pair of Viper and Cobra monitors.

What buyers report back.

09 / In the room

Nobody wants to look at an accessory.

Geometric, low and deliberately quiet. Under a speaker they read as part of the cabinet rather than something bolted underneath it as an afterthought.

The lattice is the working part, so the look is a consequence of the engineering rather than a styling exercise applied on top of it.

10 / How this goes

Three steps, and nothing is permanent.

No tools beyond your hands, and the old feet go back on in a minute.

01

Weigh it, pick the size.

Component weight against the three ranges above. On a boundary, go up. Unsure, message us the model.

02

Stand it on them.

Four footers, one per corner — or three for a stable tripod, which is what 6moons and HiFi Knights both used. Spike sockets? Fit the matching insert with the Allen key and screw them straight in.

03

A/B it, then keep them.

Play something you know, take them out, play it again. If nothing changed, send them back inside 30 days — we refund the footers, and the old feet were never modified.

The whole risk

Taking them out is as easy as putting them in.

The old feet go back on in a minute, and the footers go back to us inside 30 days. Nothing is drilled, glued or modified, so there is nothing to undo beyond unscrewing four parts.
